New Saddle part TWO!

Sooooo I HAVE THE SADDLE. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

It fits Reily just about perfect, SO much better than the last one! When I rode him, his gaits were so much smoother and slower than in the old saddle! (when he's uncomfy he gets tense and fast).

Unfortunately I couldn't sell my current saddle BEFORE I bought my new saddle, because then I would be saddleless. SO for right now, the money came out of my truck fund and I'm going to be saving like crazy and trying to sell my old saddle to make up for it.

I'm trying to upload pictures and failing.. oops I'll try to add them as soon as possible!

I am EXCITED if you couldn't tell! I am going after lunch tomorrow to pick up my NEW (to me) saddle! IT'S OFFICIAL.

I will get pictures, and plan on breaking in it's first ride (with me) tomorrow. Ah so happy. I've been wanting this for a while now!

ANNDDD the super exciting news (for me...) is OFFICIAL. OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL. I can't share yet though. And about 110% of you won't even care, but it's BIG for me. I'll let ya'll know in two weeks! THAT will be a post! Probably a novel. On a semi-related note I have to take a drug test on Monday :O (my first drug test ever.. sentimental, sniff, sniff) but it is a GOOD thing.

Overal: it has been an AMAZING day! I am on cloud nine and it just gets better and better.

UNFORTUNATELY inbetween my crazy schedule I got no running in today, but Tilly did play with the barn bloodhound until she couldn't move anymore so it turned out OK.

A just slightly awesome sort of day

Ah. College started today (technically yesterday but thanks to some registration problems... that didn't work out). I'm doing three classes this semester plus Agility with Tilly (we missed obedience, drats, but plan on taking that in February) I miss my break, even if I still worked over the holidays. I'm taking my first online class, and finding out how technology challenged I am. I couldn't find out what website the actual class was on for over twenty four hours!

Agility went smashing, Tilly really loves it and I love seeing her so happy! I can't wait to see how far she goes in it.

How was this day slightly awesome? Welll.... the good news gets better and better!! I should know by Monday but then I still won't be able to tell you all for another couple weeks :) BUT it has me STOKED and it's all I can talk about!

I am almost 99% sure I am getting a new saddle this weekend!! OOOOH YEAHHH. An actual brand name comfy saddle. EXCITED!  I will post pictures IF I get it, money's tight so I'm trying not to spend frivolously but I think it's about time for a new saddle. Then I'll sell my old one!

Also...

1-5  I did 5 miles today in Wilderness! Hoo-rah! 60 degrees in the first week of January, it felt SO nice. I will be so sad when it gets back to being cold. Tilly also came to work and wrestled with a few dogs, so that helped tire her out. She's currently passed out on my bed.

Now I'm crashing watching Futurama and Family Guy (LOL), setting my alarm clock for 5 AM for work tomorrow, planning my ride for tomorrow afternoon and doing some of my online homework. Not much exciting to report. Between horses, the dog, school and work my free time is looking pretty grim for the next couple months.

New year! Yee-haw.

Started the new year with a bang, went on a trail ride with 3 other riders and about 7 dogs including Tilly (NOT kidding.) It was crazy! Tilly was dead tired when we all got back.

Going  back even further, we got to go on a Christmas day trail ride! We had soo much fun!

In other news, TILLY IS GOING TO AGILITY AGAIN! About darn time.

New years resolutions anyone? My major one is I am committing to run/walk/bike/trail ride with Tilly AT LEAST 6 days out of the week for AT LEAST two miles. Most days more. I'll be posting my updates on here so I can stay motivated :D

January 1st- 4 mile horse trail ride, then 4 miles running/walking in Wilderness
January 2nd- Running/walking in Wilderness and then Branched oak approximately 6 miles
January 3rd- Running/walking in Wilderness 4-5 miles
January 4th- Walk in Wilderness 2 miles (BUT agility tonight, so had to preserve SOME energy)


Before I go, there will be some POTENTIALLY very exciting news coming up (for me at least)! Won't say anything until it's 110% though.
